Порошенко передал в музей ручку, которой подписал Ассоциацию с ЕС

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite

On the handle was the inscription “Vilnius, November 29, 2013.”

Pen, where was signed the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, transferred to the Museum. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, speaking at the Ukrainian-Lithuanian business forum in which participated President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite.

“The first thing I did after being elected President, I said that we need to restore historical justice and to sign the Association Agreement. Already in Brussels Madam President (Dalia grybauskaitė – ed.) agreed, and I signed it with a pen, on which was written “Vilnius on 29 November 2013.” And this pen is kept in the Museum”, – said Poroshenko.

As you know, it was then in Vilnius Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

Recall that the political part of the Association Agreement was signed on 21 March 2014, economic – on June 27, 2014. At the moment the document is ratified by nearly all EU countries.

As reported Корреспондент.netPrime Minister of the Netherlands mark Rutte has threatened not to ratify the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. It requires safeguards, according to which the agreement will be a step toward Ukraine’s membership in the EU, as well as receive military assistance.
