President Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law on amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On cinematography” (with films of an aggressor state), according to which in Ukraine is prohibited the showing of the films created in Russia after January 1, 2014.

The bill was signed by the President yesterday, 20 April, follows from the information posted on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

“The bill will enhance the level of protection of national security of Ukraine, decrease of separatist sentiment in society, to uphold the authority of the state”, – stated in the explanatory note to the document.

Recall, the head of the state has dissolved the expert Commission, which issued a negative decision for the TV series “No promise”. According to Ilyenko, the positive decision of experts regarding the possibility of the show this series has become for him an unpleasant surprise.
