Poroshenko has signed the law on free rehabilitation of children of killed journalists
The law is aimed at strengthening the social protection of children of journalists killed in the line of duty.
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on 17 October signed a law on amendments to article 1 of the law of Ukraine “About improvement and rest of children” on the expansion of categories of children needing special social attention and support. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
The law provides the right to recreation and leisure at the expense of budget funds to the children of slain journalists. “The purpose of the draft law of Ukraine is the recognition at the legislative level of the children of slain journalists or those who has a disability group I in connection with the performance of professional duties, children in need of special social attention and support”, – stated in the explanatory note to the document.
The law will enter into force three months from the date of its publication.
We will remind, in August, Poroshenko has signed the law On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine in connection with adoption of law of Ukraine On peculiarities of state policy on ensuring state sovereignty of Ukraine on the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. They were guaranteed a higher level of social protection of Ukrainian servicemen.
Also on 20 July, the President signed the law on the social protection of victims of participants of the Euromaidan.
