President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that he will continue to fight for the liberation of Ukrainians Mykola Karpiuk and Stanislav Cliche, 22.5 and sentenced to 20 years of penal colony for alleged participation in the hostilities on the side of Chechen separatists in the 1990s.

“They just punched these pseudoregular, and even prison terms do not change”, – said Poroshenko during the meeting with the lawyers of Nadiya Savchenko, who recently returned to Ukraine from politzakluchennye in Russia.

Poroshenko added that Ukraine considers Karpyuk and Cliche political prisoners, and according to the Minsk agreement, all prisoners should be released.

The President also stressed that lawyers can count on his full support in the release of illegally detained in Russian prisons Ukrainian citizens.
