Poroshenko: OSCE more supports sending to Donbass armed police mission

Порошенко: ОБСЕ все больше поддерживает отправку на Донбасс вооруженной полицейской миссии

The OSCE and the Western partners of Ukraine are increasingly supporting the idea of sending armed police mission in the East of Ukraine. This was stated to journalists by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko after the celebrations on the occasion of the launch of the new patrol police in Kramatorsk, reports “UKRINFORM”.

“Today the main result that we have is that the OSCE and our partners from Germany and France, and the vast majority of countries-OSCE members said (for example, yesterday’s statement by the Minister of defence of Turkey: we support the position of Ukraine on the armed police mission as in order to ensure ceasefire, to ensure reliable storage of the weapon, which is allocated according to the Minsk agreements, and its withdrawal from the territory of Ukraine, in order to close the border, preventing the us invasion of the Russian armed forces, equipment, ammunition and munitions, and to provide the political processes of preparation, holding and transfer of power to the Ukrainians in occupied Donbas,” said Poroshenko.

In addition, Poroshenko does not exclude the possibility of holding local elections in the Donbass in 2016 by providing the necessary conditions, “Interfax-Ukraine”.

We will remind, on may 14 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko were in the Donetsk region with a working visit. During the trip, the guarantor took part in the ceremony of taking the oath by a police patrol Kramatorsk and Slavyansk.
