The President has named five conditions that must perform in Moscow.

The keys to a peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas is in Moscow. This was stated by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko after meeting with U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson in Kiev on Sunday, July 9.

The President stressed that the meeting was agreed upon, the algorithm of joint actions to stop Russian aggression. According to him, Russia should demonstrate its good faith in restoring peace in the Donbas and stop the different types of wars, including hybrid.

“So far there are no changes in Russian behavior,” – said Poroshenko.

According to him, the Russian side should separate the logic of the participants of the Normandy format on Donbass. “If Moscow wants to once again lose the chance, she should accept the logic, which is shared by other participants of the Normandy format,” – said Poroshenko.

He recalled that we are talking about the ceasefire in the Donbass and intimidation, the OSCE, the withdrawal of Russian troops, control over the uncontrolled border with Russia, the liberation of the Ukrainian hostages.

“Kiev has not waged this war, it was conceived and initiated in Moscow. No Ukrainian troops on Russian territory…We want to emphasize our focus on the peace process. Above all we want peace in Ukraine, we strictly adhere to our commitments under the Minsk process, we hope to help our partners in the United States in the “channel format” and rely on a sober understanding of the situation,” – said Poroshenko.

Earlier, German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated that progress in resolving the situation in Ukraine is slow, there is stagnation and steps back.
