Petro Poroshenko signed the letter about the dismissal of members Members of the electoral Commission in connection with the termination of term of their powers.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on Tuesday, January 23, signed a submission on the appointment of new members of the Central election Commission. About it reports a press-service of the President of Ukraine.

At the same time the head of state signed the letter of resignation of members of the previous CEC. Relevant documents signed by Poroshenko during a meeting with Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy.

Poroshenko stressed that the issue of formation of the new composition of the Central election Commission discussed a long time ago, but the recruitment process was delayed.

“I am pleased that at last all the factions made candidates matching all the criteria. I have included in the presentation,” he said.

The President also said that he had the opportunity to discuss the formation of a new composition of the CEC with the non-governmental and community organizations that also support a speedy update of the CEC.

In turn, the Chairman of the Parliament promised to give instructions to the members of the CEC submitted for a special verification.

“Let me remind you that under the law it (the result of profiling – ed.) will continue up to 15 days,” said Parubiy.

According to him, he will give an assignment to profile Committee “to consider urgently that we are already in February, came to a positive decision to update the CEC”.

Earlier, the CEC said that the MPs are demanding the resignation of the CEC members.
