President Petro Poroshenko announced the adoption of amendments to the Constitution of the course of Ukraine to the EU and NATO in the near future. He stated this on Saturday, October 13, in Kherson, the press service of the head of state.

“A few weeks ago, the Ukrainian Parliament supported the President’s proposals on changes to the Constitution regarding enshrining a European, Euro-Atlantic choice of the Ukrainian people. 321 votes – more than the constitutional majority – is a strong guarantee that in the near future, these changes to the Constitution would be taken,” he said, speaking at the ceremony of initiation into cadets of the Maritime Academy of replenishment in 2018.

He also added that the key to European choice is not only of reforming the economy, legal and political systems.

“The key to this is education reform, this, which we enter on equal terms in the European intellectual space”, – said Poroshenko.

Recall, September 20, the Verkhovna Rada sent to the constitutional court of Ukraine of the presidential bill on amendments to the Constitution regarding fixation of Ukraine’s course of joining NATO and the EU.
