The President noted that the old test did not shake the solid Pro-Ukrainian position of the activist.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko talked on the phone with was released today from a Russian prison Ukrainian activist Oleksandr Kostenko. On Friday, August 3, the President said on Twitter.

He also noted that the activist thanked everyone who fought for him.

“The heat had a phone conversation with Alexander Kostenko. He’s a big lad! The illegal detention and the years of severe trials did not shake his firm Pro-Ukrainian position. Alexander is grateful to everyone who fought for him. Waiting for him in the native land!” – wrote the President.

We will remind, on August 3, Ukrainian Alexander Kostenko was released from penal colony №5 in the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk, Kirov region of Russia.

We will remind, the inhabitant of the Crimea Alexander Kostenko was sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment. Kostenko did not admit his guilt. He was convicted for allegedly causing injury to the employee of the Crimean Berkut in Kiev.

The Crimean human rights group reported that the father Kostenko publicly reported on the torture suffered by his son after what was missing, mother and brother continue to live in Simferopol.

At the end of June 2018 Alexander Kostenko threatened to cause injury to yourself because of the penalties that apply to him in prison.
