Poroshenko and Trudeau have coordinated their positions ahead of the G7 summit, which will take place June 8-9 at the canadian Charlevoix.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has held a phone conversation. On Wednesday, June 6, the press service of the Ukrainian President.

It is noted that Poroshenko and Trudeau has discussed the further consolidation of support for Ukraine at the level of the group of seven, and has also coordinated their positions ahead of the G7 summit, which will take place June 8-9 at the canadian Charlevoix.

The head of state was informed about the situation in the Donbas and continuing violations of the Minsk agreements, and provoking tension on the Azov sea.

In addition, the parties noted the importance of the deployment of a peacekeeping force under UN auspices to resolve the situation in the Donbas.

The two leaders welcomed the commencement on 6 June direct flights between Kiev and Toronto.

Earlier it was reported that the foreign Ministers of the G7 countries at a meeting in Toronto agree with the position of Ukraine in the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbas.
