President Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine will soon be in the top 50 of the Doing Business ranking. This is possible through macro-financial stability, he said.

President Petro Poroshenko expects Ukraine will rise above the 50-th position in the ranking of ease of doing business (Doing Business) world Bank. He said this at the Ukrainian house in Davos, where the 48th annual meeting of the world economic forum, reported on the official website of the President.

“Ukraine will achieve the best results, and be able to take a place among the first 50 countries in the Doing Business ranking. In a short period of time will be in the first 50-TKE. It’s absolutely realistic, ” he said.

Poroshenko noted the role of the European Bank for reconstruction and development, the world Bank, the International monetary Fund, international financial institutions and others in support of reforms.

“Today was a discussion – the glass is half full or empty. I have the new version and I hope the President (the President of EBRD Suma Chakrabarti – ed.) will support me – the glass is not half (full), and we have more. And this important message – please don’t waste your time and don’t wait for June-July-August or in the fall. This is the right time and place to be today in the Ukrainian house in Davos. We’re waiting for investors”, – stressed the head of state.

In this context, he noted that a lot was done to improve the investment climate. “Ukraine is now another. You can come and we’ll show you it”, – said Poroshenko.

According to Poroshenko, this year more than 80 companies – world leaders have called for his offer to meet with him. “This is a very good measure of how popular Ukraine is now among investors and how much they believe in our success,” added the head of state.

He also gave examples of changes in Ukraine for the last period. According to him, has managed to achieve macro-financial stability, to cleanse the banking system to adopt a reform of education, health, judicial and pension reforms, important steps in the field of cybersecurity, rural medicine. The President reminded that the Parliament approved a new law on privatization.

“When I was elected President, Ukraine had no 3G connection for the cause of corruption. Soon we will open the envelope for 4G connection. We have lots of companies ready to invest in it,” he said.

Recall, Ukraine climbed to the 76th place among 190 countries in the world Bank’s doing business (Doing Business-2018).
