Порошенко: мы не хотим победить Россию

Ukraine is ready to hold discussions regarding the stages of implementation of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbass, and also in respect of countries that will take part in it, said the President.

President Petro Poroshenko during a speech at the Ukrainian lunch in the framework of the Munich security conference said that Ukraine does not seek to defeat Russia, reports “European true”.

“I am a President of peace, not President of war… We don’t want to defeat Russia, and only want Russia out of Ukraine”, – he stressed.

Poroshenko stressed that these requirements on the part of Ukraine are legitimate and unconditional.

“We need to come get their tanks, their military, their the newest weapons from our territory,” – said Poroshenko. “Our request is simple: remove their artillery, their tanks, their troops,” he added.

The President stressed that this concerns both the occupied Donbas and Crimea.

The President also noted that Ukraine is ready to hold discussions regarding the stages of implementation of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbass, and also in respect of countries that will take part in it.

“In order to be introduced in Ukraine a full-scale mission of the peacekeepers, which will ensure the return of these (occupied – ed.) areas under the Ukrainian sovereignty, we need only one thing – to put the squeeze on Russia,” he said.

According to Poroshenko, “the peacekeepers should not be an escort service along the line of contact” or to have some curtailed powers.

Recall that Germany is ready to support the easing of some sanctions imposed against Russia, if in the East of Ukraine will be sold to a cease-fire with the help of UN peacekeepers.
