President Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine is moving decisively in NATO and continues to develop new weapons, including missiles. He said this on Thursday, March 7, during an interview to Ukrainian TV channels, answering the question about the readiness of Ukraine to develop its own rocket after the termination of the agreement, the INF Treaty, the press service of the head of state.

“We are moving strongly in NATO … Today we have a qualitatively new army, which qualitatively new armed. In particular, we will rocket. And already there – including the complex of cruise missiles Neptune, which underwent tests, including a new high-precision multiple launch rocket system extended range Alder, we have significantly improved Stpnu as anti-tank complex. Now we have a system of suppression of the electronic warfare of the enemy,” – said Poroshenko.

He also stressed that Ukraine in NATO is not with an outstretched hand, and as a full partner with the army is among the most effective armies in Europe, “which protects not only its territory, and protects freedom, democracy, stop the aggressor in the centre of Europe”.

The President promised to develop missile technology and efficient cooperation in the military-industrial sector with the main countries-members of NATO.
