Прогресс в переговорах с Ryanair есть - министр

The government promised some good news about the new Ukrainian airlines.

The process of negotiations with the Irish airline Ryanair continues, there is progress, declared on air “the 5th channel” Minister of infrastructure Vladimir Omelian.

“We have just now withdrew from public debate the question of Ryanair, but the work continues, progress is good,” he said.

“Moreover, I think this year will be some more good news about the new Ukrainian carriers. I think the market is growing so rapidly that it is a very clear indicator for many companies, it is worth to invest. Ukrainians are ready to fly even at expensive prices, but if prices will be cheaper, they will fly much more,” – said the Minister.

Earlier, Ryanair declared its denial of access to the Ukrainian aviation market.

The Irish company has accused managers of the airport “Borispol” in lobbying for the interests of one of the carrier – MAU, which failed to agree.

The Minister of infrastructure Omeljan accused of disrupting the arrangements of the airport Director Paul Ryabikina.

He said about the political pressure the Minister and the Prime Minister, and Ryanair called economically unprofitable.

Subsequently, Boryspil said that he was ready to resume negotiations with Ryanair.

As expected, Ryanair were to fly from Kiev to London, Manchester, Stockholm and Eindhoven.

And flights from Lviv had to be in Eindhoven, London, Berlin, wrocław, Memmingen, Krakow and Budapest.
