Pshonka considers as a coup the events of Euromaidan

Blocking of the Parliament, the seizure of the Cabinet and threats to judges are the signs of a coup, said the former attorney General.

Former Prosecutor General Viktor Pshonka said that in 2014, during Euromaidan there were all the signs of a coup. He said this in court.

“As a lawyer, as a lawyer, I believe that all the signs of a coup are present in order to characterize events which happened in Ukraine in February 2014. The seizure and blocking of the Verkhovna Rada, that is, the legislative branch, the blocking and seizure of the Cabinet of Ministers – the Executive, the impact on the judges,” he said.

Pshonka added that on 24 February 2014, the Parliament in violation of the Constitution was dismissed five judges of the constitutional court.

“All those threats to senior officials, including, I’m talking about the real assassination of the President of Ukraine (Viktor) Yanukovych, all this suggests that Ukraine was a coup, planned, real,” – concluded the former attorney General.

Today at a court in Moscow is also former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that the Maidan was in charge of the Western intelligence services.

And yesterday in the same court the former President Viktor Yanukovych announced the coup in Kiev.
