The Ministry of education proposes to discuss the new Ukrainian spelling

During project development the authors tried to take into account the latest linguistic phenomena prevalent in different spheres of life.

The Ministry of education and science of Ukraine invites you to take part in public discussion of the draft of the new spelling, which was prepared by the working group of the Ukrainian national Commission for matters of spelling. As noted in mon, during its development the authors tried to take into account the latest linguistic phenomena prevalent in different spheres of life.

In particular, the draft provides for the use and at the beginning of words before consonants n and R, at the beginning of the verb and the noun icati cavka, at the beginning of foreign words like Iben, IC-both.

The project also authorizes the letter , for the transmission of foreign sound [g] in names such Ete, ULVER, Vasco da AMA (but perhaps familiar with writing g). A similar compromise is proposed for the letter f in words of Greek origin.

It is also proposed to write the word half with nouns separately if refers to half (half years, half of Kyiv). If half a with a noun is a single concept, they are written together (pushit).
