Putin extended transit restrictions on Ukraine

The Russian President extended for six months the transit limit from the Ukraine to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin made changes to a decree limiting the transit from Ukraine through Russia to Kazakhstan or the Kyrgyz Republic. On Thursday, December 4, reported on the official portal of legal information of the Russian Federation.

So, Putin has made changes in the decree from 1 January 2016 On the measures taken to ensure economic security and national interests of the Russian Federation in the implementation of international transit transport of goods from the territory of Ukraine on the territory of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the report, the transit limit was extended to 30 June 2018.

“To amend the decree of the President of the Russian Federation from January 1, 2016 No. 1 On measures to ensure economic security and national interests of the Russian Federation in the implementation of international transit transport of goods from the territory of Ukraine on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan or the Kyrgyz Republic through the territory of the Russian Federation (meeting of the legislation of the Russian Federation, 2016, №1, p. 215; No. 27, article 4466) change, having replaced in the paragraph 4, the words “before 31 December 2017” by “until 30 June 2018”, – the document says.
