The Parliament rejected a draft law on family medicine
MPs refused to support the draft law in principle, return it to the Committee and the subject of legislative initiative for revision.
The Verkhovna Rada at a meeting on Thursday, 8 November, rejected the bill No. 6634 Of primary medical aid on principles of family medicine. About it reports RBC-Ukraine.
Noted that the people’s deputies refused to support the draft law as a basis, returning it to the Committee for revision and a subject of legislative initiative for revision. The Chairman of the Parliament Andrei Parubiy announced the rejection of the document.
“The draft law I declare rejected,” he said.
Immediately after this vote, Parliament has gone on recess.
As noted in the explanatory note to the project, a network of primary care is still not formed properly and does not provide needs of population in quality and affordable primary care. The document also clearly defined professional responsibilities of the General practitioner – family doctor.
Previously, more than 20 million of Ukrainians have chosen their family doctor.
It was also reported that Ukrainian family doctors who signed the Declaration with their patients, received in July increased salaries.
