“Kiev local Prosecutor’s office No. 7, together with the staff of head Department on fight against corruption and organized crime of security Service of Ukraine and the security Department of JSC Ukrainian Railways was detained for obtaining undue benefit of one of the leaders of the railway station Kharkov-Passenger, branch Passenger company Public joint stock company Ukrainian Railways and mediator,” the statement reads.

Law enforcement authorities established that the official Railways, attracting accomplice demanded from the founder to a business entity of nearly 350 thousand hryvnias of illegal benefit for decision on the transfer of funds already on the contract for the cleaning of premises and adjoining territory of the Kharkiv station.

The operatives of intelligence agencies under the procedural supervision of the local Prosecutor’s office detained the malefactors in the course of the monitoring Commission of the offence in the premises of the railway station Kharkov-Passenger after the transfer of the entire amount of the illegal gains.

At the present time the question about the message to the detainees about suspicion under part 3 of article 368 (receiving improper compensation) of the Criminal code of Ukraine and the election of a preventive measure.

Coalsales informed that in Zaporozhye police detained one of the Directors of PJSC Zaporozhye electric locomotive plant (ZERZ), a part of the Railways, during receiving from suppliers 17 thousand hryvnias of “rollback.”
