Razumkov called the timing of local elections

Разумков назвал сроки проведения местных выборов

Dmitry Razumkov commented on the timing of local elections

The completion of the decentralization reform should precede the local elections. Most likely they will be held in the fall.

Local elections in Ukraine will take place in fall 2020, but it is possible that in some areas they may take place sooner. This was during a working visit to Kiev on Wednesday, November 20, said the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov, reports UKRINFORM.

“If we are talking in General elections, they will occur after the outcome of a decentralization reform is the first. Second – after it is adopted by the so-called electoral code. If we are talking about when they pass away, then this is absolutely the year 2020, most likely, fall. But do not rule out the fact that in some areas election may be sooner,” said Razumkov.

Whether it is the Zaporozhye region, the speaker did not elaborate, saying that “it is hard to say about the whole region, based on the number of settlements that exist in the region.”

Earlier, the CEC said about the threat of failure of elections in some OTO because of understaffed election commissions. It was also reported that the CEC fixed the date of the first local elections.
