Russia does not recognize the legitimacy of decisions of international arbitration at the Permanent court of Arbitration in the Hague, which ordered her to pay Ukrainian companies Ukrnafta be compensated for the property in Crimea at $44.4 million it is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the Ministry of justice on Tuesday, April 16.

“The Russian Federation did not participate in the consideration of the claim. It does not recognize the legality of the decision in the first place in connection with absence of the arbitration jurisdiction for consideration of this claim,” – said in the message.

It is noted that “Russia plans to challenge this decision and to use all available mechanisms for redress under international law and Swiss law”.

It is also claimed that the Russian side has not received official diplomatic channel the decision on the claim Ukrnafta.

Earlier on Tuesday it became known that the court in the Hague has decided to collect from Russia in favor of Ukrnafta $44.4 million compensation for expropriation of property of the company in anneksirovat Crimea. We are talking about the rights of ownership of the 16 petrol stations and administrative buildings on the territory of the occupied Peninsula.

PJSC Ukrnafta is the largest oil company in Ukraine. Owns 537 filling stations in almost all regions of Ukraine. 50% + 1 share of the company belongs to NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, a group of companies associated with the former shareholders of PrivatBank Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov – about 42% of the shares.

Earlier it was reported that Ukrnafta, Kolomoisky has paid 2.3 billion hryvnias as dividends.
