The debts of Russia is steadily growing

The growth of external debt caused by the purchase by foreign investors of sovereign debt securities denominated in Russian roubles, says the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

The external debt of the Russian Federation in 2017, increased by of $14.95 billion, or 2.9 to $529,08 billion from $514,13 billion this was reported on the website of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

In the fourth quarter of 2017, the external debt declined to $7.57 billion, or 1.4%, from $536,66 billion.

As noted in the comments of the Central Bank, the growth of external debt was due to acquisition by foreign investors of sovereign debt securities, denominated in Russian rubles, as well as debt financing from foreign affiliated structures of the Russian companies.

It is noted that the external debt of Russian banks decreased by 12.5% and reached the lowest for last decade level – $104,518 billion.

As reported Корреспондент.netin 2017, the net capital outflow from Russia last year has grown in 1,6 times, to $31.3 billion.
