Ongoing searches in the editorial office and press center media resources, RIA Novosti-Ukraine and addresses of the persons involved in it.

During the searches in the editorial office RIA Novosti-Ukraine SBU found the order of the Russian “return” of Crimea. On Tuesday, may 15, reported the press Secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan in his Facebook.

According to her, the news Agency Novosti-Ukraine acted illegally.

“Conducted searches in the editorial office and the press center of the illegally operating in our country, media resource, RIA Novosti-Ukraine, and residence addresses of the persons who organized and provided for their illegal activity”, – wrote Gar.

She added that the Federal state unitary enterprise of MIA Russia Today for “conducting subversive activities against Ukraine” in 2014 without state registration created by the Russian news Agency Novosti Ukraine, which within a few years the Ukrainian media space was filled with “distorted information about events in Ukraine, in particular, strongly justified the occupation of Crimea by Russia”.

Thus a press-the Secretary of the Prosecutor General said that the searches conducted by the Prosecutor’s office are the Crimea and the SBU in the framework of criminal proceedings on the facts of the outbreak of the Russian war of aggression in the information sphere against Ukraine and state power.

“Right now the searches are, however, they have already identified a significant amount of evidence confirming the described illegal activity. Upon completion of the searches will address the issue of the detention of the person directly supervising the illegal news Agency RIA Novosti Ukraine, and to be informed about the suspicion,” wrote Gar.

According to her, the results of the conducted investigations and covert investigations established the involvement of Ukrainian citizens to the illegal activities of these media resources in Ukraine.

 

 

“In the course of the investigation obtained evidence that the information published on the online resource, RIA Novosti Ukraine, contains calls directed to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, government and information security,” added Gar.

We will remind, on Tuesday, may 15, several members of the office of RIA Novosti-Ukraine were questioned. According to the SBU, after returning from Russia to Kiev, the head of the Agency Kirill Vyshinsky and several journalists have also been active in supporting the separatists DND and LNR. During searches at the head of the RIA Novosti news Agency of Ukraine found two passports – Russian and Ukrainian.
