The security service of Ukraine together with the Prosecutor and the police eliminated interregional organized criminal group, which illegally transported people across the border with the Russian Federation. Reports a press about it-service SBU.

“The operatives of the intelligence agencies have determined that this path was used by the supporters of the international terrorist organization “Islamic State” as a transit country for fighters from Russia to Europe”, – said the press service.

It is noted that the channel of illegal migration was used in the reverse mode – as with Russia in Ukraine, and in the opposite direction.

Organizer of channel of illegal transfer was an active member of the Eastern regional Directorate of the border service.

“The attacker also covered the illegal activities of his co-conspirators, using his official position”, – said the press service of the SBU.

The composition of the group consisted of 4 persons: citizens of Ukraine and the Caucasus countries.

“On August 29, the staff of SBU detained one of the group members in Velikopisarevsky district of the Sumy region during the attempted illegal transfer of two citizens of Ukraine in Russia. Other members of the group, including the organizer, the police on the same day detained in Kharkiv”, – stated in the message.

On materials of management of SBU in Kharkiv oblast police opened criminal proceedings under part 3 St. 332 (illegal movement of persons across the state border of Ukraine, committed by an organized group) of the Criminal code of Ukraine.

We will remind, on Sunday, August 28, in the Donetsk region SBU detained 106 criminal “authorities” at the funeral of “kingpin”.
