Vladimir Petrov escaped house arrest, and Alexander Barabashka sent under custody for two months.

The Pechersky regional court of Kiev on Friday, November 30, was released under house arrest political consultant and TV presenter Vladimir Petrov, who was detained on suspicion of a sex scandal involving the Deputy chief of Department of protection of economy of Ukraine Alexander Varchenko. This is reported by Ukrainian news.

The Prosecutor’s office asked to arrest the suspect with a Deposit of 48 million hryvnia.

“The petition of the Prosecutor’s office to refuse”, – announced the verdict, the judge Oleg belozerkovez.

The court sentenced the defendant the measure of restraint in the form of house arrest till 28 Jan 2019.

He is forbidden to leave his house in the Kiev region without the permission of the investigator or Prosecutor. Also, the consultant is forbidden to communicate with other defendants in the case. In addition, he must hand over the passport.

Earlier Pechersky regional court of Kiev arrested for two months, another defendant in the case of Alexander the Republic, a suspect in the purchase and distribution of personal information.

Republic bail was set at UAH 3 million. The Prosecutor’s office asked to appoint Barabashka Deposit of UAH 6.5 million.

Recall that in early November, Alexander Varchenko caught in a scandal when he was accused of threats, and the harassment of 19-year-old student of the Kiev Institute politechnico Natalia Buraco.

It became known later that on this fact the Prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings under article about the threat by murder if there were real grounds to fear the realization of this threat (part 1 of article 129 of the criminal code of Ukraine).
