Half of Russia’s power plants in need of modernization.

Modernization of Russian power plants expressed the readiness of the German company Siemens. This was stated by the head of the company in Russia Dietrich Moeller, Reuters reports.

“About 50 percent of the stations in need of modernisation, and Siemens is ready to offers,” said Moeller.

Siemens predict that thanks to the modernization in Russia and the CIS the production of electricity will grow by 2 percent per year and by 2040 will reach 2.4 trillion kilowatt-hours.

As reported, the Moscow Arbitration court appointed on October 20, a preliminary hearing on the case on gas turbines Siemens.
