German turbine travelled to the Crimea to bypass sanctions

Gas turbine plant, built to Taman, was illegally delivered to the Crimea, said the German company.

The German company Siemens announced the beginning of the gap of the license agreement and the termination of the supply of generating equipment of the state-controlled Russian companies. This is stated in the official statement.

“All four steam and gas turbines, is made in Krasnodar, was locally modified and illegally supplied to the Crimea”, – reported the concern.

In this regard, Siemens out of the joint Russian enterprises Interavtomatika, which, according to Reuters, was one of the contractors for the transportation of turbines to the Crimea.

The Siemens scandal erupted earlier this month when Reuters reported the German turbines which were originally built for the Taman, but got on the annexed Peninsula.

The company has accused Russia of violating the terms of the contract and has submitted to Arbitration court of Moscow the claim. The Kremlin insists that arrived in Crimea “Russian-made equipment, assembled from Russian components”.

According to Kommersant, now Siemens operates in more than 30 cities of Russia and participated in 53 projects.

On July 20, the Board of Directors of Power machines, which is involved in the scandal with the supply of turbines by Siemens in the Crimea, decided to terminate the powers of the General Director of Roman Filippov.
