The first visits of Ukrainian and Russian ombudsmen to prisoners in their countries can occur simultaneously.

Verkhovna Rada Commissioner on human rights Lyudmila Denisova Monday, June 18, following the meeting with the Russian colleague reported that they discussed the possibility simultaneously to carry out the first visits to prisoners. This is stated in the message published at the site in Facebook.

However, she noted that the date of travel has not yet been determined.

“Meeting with the Ombudsman of the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova. Discussed the possibility of synchronicity in our very first visits. Further our visits we will carry out in different time”, – stated in the message.

The Ombudsman noted that the trust is the main thing that should be the basis of visits to our citizens.

“We will check the conditions of detention, and make sure that the information provided to each other in letters. Dates of the visit are still under discussion”, – said the Ombudsman.

Earlier it was reported that in Moscow met with the ombudsmen of Ukraine and Russia.

Earlier in the same day Denisov, was not allowed into the prison to Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko.
