Six Arab States consider Qatar a “state sponsor of terrorism”.

As reported by the Swiss portal of The Local, six Arab countries have decided against holding the 2022 world Cup in Qatar.

Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Mauritania, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have sent a collective letter to the International football Federation with the requirement of moving the world Cup, referring to the 85-th article of the FIFA statutes, which allows in case of emergency to change the host country of the tournament.

Spokesman of FIFA, denied receiving such a letter. The President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, the situation is not commented.

Note that in early June, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates broke off diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing him of destabilizing the political situation in the Arab States and supporting terrorism.
