According to SpaceX, this is the third flight of this reusable spacecraft to the ISS. He previously visited the space in September 2014 and June 2017.

Cargo Dragon will deliver to the ISS about 2.5 tons of food, equipment and materials for carrying out 38 scientific experiments by the station crew. Among other things, the truck will be brought to the station 40 mice, including genetically modified “mighty” mouse.

In addition, the truck will bring to the ISS a platform that will be installed on its external surface for Parking of robotic systems.

It is also noted that the first stage of the rocket Falcon 9 after the launch made a successful controlled landing on a floating platform off the coast of Florida.

Currently, Dragon is the only Cargo spacecraft to supply the ISS that can return cargo to Earth.
