State aid to 44% of Ukrainians – Reva

The Minister of social policy said that the state social assistance receive approximately 44% of Ukrainians.

Less than half of Ukrainians receive state social assistance. This was reported by Minister of social policy of Ukraine Andriy Reva, informs Radio Liberty on Saturday, November 17.

“About 44% of people receive certain types of state social assistance. But we must understand that under the Constitution Ukraine is a social state,” – said the Minister.

Reva added that about 5 million households in Ukraine receive a subsidy.

Andrey Reva reported that in Ukraine, about 3,000 families receive an allowance for low-income, and nearly 400 thousand women and single mothers.

We will remind, within 8 months of 2018, the number of families who have been assigned subsidies on utilities, decreased by 58.1 per cent.
