Last month the world’s stock exchanges experienced several collapses, when the indexes in Europe, Asia and the U.S. dropped down to 2-3%.

In October, a series of landslides the total value of shares on world stock markets dipped by about $5 trillion, according to MarketWatch.

According to analyst S&P Dow Jones Indices Howard Silverblatt, which refers to TV channel CNBC in October, stocks of the companies included in the American S&P 500 index, fell $1.91 a trillion. Moreover, the losses were almost evenly distributed across market sectors.

“Last month, the global stock market lost around $5 trillion. However, Deutsche Bank analysts believe that this figure is insufficient to have a significant impact on the economy. Research in the field of the wealth effect suggests that corporations and households are not overreacting to short-term fluctuations in their assets,” – said the chief international economist Torsten Slok.

Last month the world’s stock exchanges experienced several landslides. One of the most significant happened on 22-23 October, when the indices in Europe, Asia and the U.S. dropped down to 2-3%. The fall occurred for several reasons of global and regional issues.
