23 Nov in the leading universities of Ukraine took place the first stage of the educational contest “agro 2019”.
The project “agro”, along with other educational competitions, conducts Borys Kolesnikov, to motivate students, encourage an active approach to mastering the professional knowledge and skills, promote innovation and development of startups in the field of agriculture.
In “agro 2019” registered 1 700 students in 34 schools in the country. They have written tests in core subjects and completed a creative task. Within a week the contestants learn which of them showed better results and was in the finals. In December, the finalists will present their own projects to the jury of the project.
President of the charity Fund Borys Kolesnikov wished all participants good luck and said that the future of the Ukrainian agricultural industry is dependent on literate farmers, pastoralists, farmers. The main objective of the educational projects of the Foundation is to help students to Express their ideas, to teach entrepreneurial thinking, to provide assistance in employment and the implementation of relevant ideas. “Agriculture is one of the basic spheres in Ukraine. From the success of young farmers on the future of Ukraine: social and economic outcome. With the best contestants we’ll meet next winter on one of the world’s leading exhibitions in Europe dedicated to agriculture. Sure, there is each of them will find something interesting, useful – that want to implement and develop in his native country”, – said Boris Kolesnikov.
The contestants note that the “agro” motivated to be active and purposeful, self-development, finding practical application for their knowledge. “You can come up with a good business idea, and years to wait until the conditions arise or there are funds for its implementation. Competition from the Foundation of Boris Kolesnikov allows you to come up with an innovative proposal to experts to check its relevance and implementation, discuss ideas with professionals. Regardless of the outcome, it is a very rewarding experience and a chance to prepare for your own startup while still a student,” – said Lena Babic, student of Sumy national agrarian University.
In the finals, the jury will call thirty of the winners – the authors of the most interesting and promising developments. In February 2019, will go to Paris, the international exhibition of agricultural machinery and livestock SIMA. There Ukrainian students to get acquainted with novelties and achievements in the world of agribusiness, technical and technological innovations, learn about the work of the best industry experts and be trained at the master classes. Also it will be organized tour of Paris and sightseeing in the capital.
The contest “agro” was held for the second time. In the first season of project competed 1 500 students from 20 agricultural universities of Ukraine. Thirty winners visited the international agricultural exhibition Fieragricola 2018 in Italy. In 2018-2019 school year, the Foundation of Boris Kolesnikov holds seven competitions for students of architecture and construction, marine, transport, aviation, agricultural, food processing and IT-universities. All the winners will be awarded trips to the international specialized exhibition. We will remind, now open registration in the project “the Architect 2019”. The winners will have the opportunity to attend an architectural tour and trip to the forum Made Expo in Milan.
