Acting Minister of health Suprun not advised to eat citrus while taking the medication because it has side effects. She wrote about this on Wednesday, January 23, on his page in Facebook.

“Substances contained in the grapefruit, and the like, contain compounds that limit the action of medicines in the body. Drugs almost freely enter the blood and their concentration becomes too large – as if took one pill, and three or even seven. Therefore, some drugs in combination with grapefruit juice or even grapefruit that you eat then give side effects,” warned Suprun.

According to the leader of the Ministry of health is now aware of at least 85 drugs, which combines oral and low bioavailability.

As noted Suprun, side effects may occur when taking these medicines: medicines for lowering cholesterol (statins), for regulation of blood pressure, regulation of heart rhythm, anti-infective drugs, including erythromycin, most antidepressants and drugs for anxiety reduction, anticoagulants, painkillers and medications for overcoming erectile dysfunction.

Previously the acting Minister of health Suprun proposed to replace black caviar.
