The Minister of culture and democracy of Sweden ALIS BA Kunka congratulated Ukraine with a victory at the song contest “Eurovision 2016” and offered comprehensive assistance in the organization at the appropriate level of competition, which according to the rules next year will take place in Ukraine. About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of culture.

In the framework of the working visit the Minister of culture of Ukraine Yevhen Nyshchuk visited Sweden and met with Swedish counterpart.

Alice BA Kunka expressed their willingness to cooperate and said – Sweden is ready to send to Ukraine specialists for their implementation in Ukrainian realities of Swedish innovations that have already received a positive response.

During the conversation the Ministers also discussed issues of protection of monuments of UNESCO, freedom of expression and the press, gender equality, discussed the state support of functioning of the Ukrainian Institute in Sweden. Also Alice BA Kunka expressed its concern over the events in Eastern Ukraine and the revitalization of the work of the intelligence services of certain countries that are trying to discredit Ukraine. However, as she said, in spite of that, the Swedish side is willing to cooperate actively.

As reported, the first place in the final of “Eurovision 2016” won the Ukrainian singer Jamal with a song “1944” about the fate of the Crimean Tatar people.
