Сумма иска Нафтогаза к РФ выросла до $7 млрд

The amount of the claim of Naftogaz reached 7 billion

The court in the Hague considers it the responsibility of Russia, and not “authorities” of the Crimea.

The amount of the claim filed by Naftohaz in the Tribunal of the Arbitration Court in the Hague, in connection with the seizure of Russian assets in Crimea with interest is about $7 billion. this was announced on Thursday, September 21, chief commercial officer of the company Yuriy Vitrenko in Facebook.

“Sum – more than $5 billion And this is without interest. With interest to date amount to about $7 billion This is a conservative estimate of the international experts, the market value of lost assets. This includes the production assets of our subsidiary company “Chornomornaftogaz”, owned by “Naftogaz” of gas in underground storage in the Crimea, and the assets of other subsidiaries of “Naftogaz”, – he wrote.

At the same time, he stressed that the filing of a claim does not mean the recognition of the Crimea Russia.

“We are only stating a fact that as a result of the illegal annexation of Crimea, it is now controlled by the Russian Federation. Therefore, the Russian Federation and is responsible for the loss of a group of Naftogaz assets in Crimea, which occurred as a result of this illegal annexation,” – said Vitrenko.

He emphasized that the arbitrators found sufficient grounds to consider it the responsibility of Russia, not virtual “power independent Crimea”.

Recall that the claim of Naftogaz and its subsidiary companies – Chernomorneftegaz, Ukrtransgaz, of likvo, Ukrgazvydobuvannya, Ukrtransnafta, and Gas of Ukraine – was registered by the court on 17 October 2016.
