The city Council intends to find out what led to the insolvency of the Bank “Khreschatyk”

The permanent Commission of the Kyiv city Council on rules and parliamentary ethics supported the draft decision “About establishment of the temporary control Commission city Council on the examination of the circumstances that led to the attribution of PJSC” CB “Khreschatyk” insolvent”. This was reported on the website of the city Council.

“Corresponding TKK will examine the circumstances that led to the insolvency of the Bank “Khreschatyk”, as well as the acts and omissions of officials of the Department of Finance and Department of municipal property of Executive body of Kyiv city Council (KSCA). The Commission includes representatives of all factions of the city Council. Headed by WCC subject to the submission of the draft decision, the Deputy of the faction “Association “Samopomich” Alexey Rudenko”, – it is told in the message.

We will remind, Bank “Khreschatyk”, in which the territorial community of Kyiv owns 24,9% of the shares through the Department of Finance of the KCSA and 0.06% of the shares through the Department of municipal property of Executive body of Kyiv city Council (KCSA), the decision of the NBU from 05.04.2016 was declared insolvent.

According to the former head of the Bank Dmytro Hrydzhuk, the financial institution was produced by an intentional attack. First, it left almost all the utilities of the capital, and then started to artificially spin up the excitement and panic. Deputy head of the NBU Alexander Savchenko said that the Bank could have been saved if the NBU wanted to. However, the NBU said that the situation around the “Khreschatyk” needs investigation and referred the materials to law enforcement.
