The tender Commission for selection of candidate for the post of chief architect will resume on Monday, may 23. About this on his page on the social network Facebook said the Deputy head of the KSCA Alexander Spasibki.

“On Monday, 23 may, will gather the competitive Commission for selection of candidate for the post of chief architect. The competition Commission has been suspended with a view to developing new, more objective procedures and adopting unique solutions, will comply with applicable laws and will be accepted as the professional community and the community of Kiev. The contest for the vacant post must take place in accordance with the new Law of Ukraine “On civil service”, which entered into force on 01 may 2016″, – he wrote.

The spasibki noted that the work of the Commission and the selection process will be completely transparent and invited journalists to attend the meetings of the Commission.

As previously reported, in late March the work of the Commission for selection of candidate for the post of chief architect of the capital has been suspended because of the shortcomings of the tendering process. Later, the KSCA has postponed the final meeting of the Commission, which was held on April 20, indefinitely.

We will remind, at the end of December 2015, the Kiev authorities announced a competition for the post of chief architect of the capital. The main requirements to the candidates was the highest architectural education and work experience in the field of architecture for at least 5 years. Applications for participation in competition filed until 28 January 2016. In the final of the competition included 5 contenders – Andrew Mirgorod, Yuriy Sklyarenko, Sergey Kazaryan, Sergey Bronevitsky and Igor Pisaric. The public expressed outrage over the results of the selection.
