The bill proposes to reform the Prosecutor General in the attorney General’s Office and to liquidate the military Prosecutor’s office.

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on law enforcement recommended the Parliament to adopt bill No. 1032 by President Vladimir Zelensky on the reform of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine as a basis and in General. This was stated by the head of the Committee Denis Monastyrski, according to RBC-Ukraine on Tuesday, September 10.

In particular, Zelensky, the bill proposes to reform the Prosecutor in the attorney General’s Office. It is also expected to liquidate the military Prosecutor’s office and to conduct a recertification of all employees of the Prosecutor’s office, except for members of Special anti-corruption Prosecutor’s office.

The President also proposes to increase the salaries of employees of prosecution bodies and reduce their number from 15 to 10 thousand people.

The public Prosecutor Ruslan Ryaboshapka said details of the reform of the GPU. According to him, employees of the NABU will help to verify the integrity of prosecutors. On the reform of the Supervisory authority, the attorney General takes two years.
