Miller found not guilty

Prosecutors accused the former rector of the illegal alienation of property of the University.

The former rector of the National Academy of state tax service of Ukraine Petro Melnyk declared innocent. The corresponding decision was taken Borodyansky district of Kiev region, reports the Commander in chief.

Prosecutors accused Miller of illegal alienated real estate of the National Academy of state tax service, among which were: the shop and café with a total area 496,7 sqm in Irpen; rehabilitation and health-improving complex “Pine forest” (PGT. Vorzel) complex of buildings in Kamianets-Podilskyi with a total area of 1.1 thousand square meters and non-residential houses and household buildings in Simferopol the total area of 2,6 thousand square meters.

At the same time, the prosecutors argued that Petro Melnyk, the Dean is responsible for the safety of the property of the National Academy of state tax service, without the consent of the state property Fund of Ukraine violated the requirements of the law on management of objects of state property and alienation of state property, approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 6 June 2007 No. 806, than made illegal alienation of real estate state University.

Recall, July 8, Irpin city court acquitted ex-rector Melnyk.

Miller first was detained on 27 July 2013, when he received from two citizens of a bribe of 40 thousand and 80 thousand UAH for joining their relatives in high school, which he led.

7 August Miller wear an electronic bracelet to track his stay. However, on 9 August it became known that Melnik escaped from house arrest, releasing an electronic bracelet. On August 14 Melnik was declared in the international search, and on 1 April 2014 he gave himself up to the police, when he arrived by plane from London to Borispol.
