The court in the Hague may refuse to Ukraine – ex-MP

Суд в Гааге может отказать Украине – экс-нардеп

The decision of the International court of justice largely depends on the tactics of representatives of Moscow, said Oleynik.

The decision of the International court of justice in the Hague, which is considering the claim of Ukraine against Russia, largely depends on what tactics will elect the representatives of Moscow. Such an opinion in his blog expressed the honored lawyer of Ukraine, former people’s Deputy Volodymyr Oliynyk.

“If Russia will ask the court to adduce the decision of Dorogomilovsky court on the recognition of events in Ukraine in winter 2014 coup, it is a judicial contest to win”, – said the former MP.

As you know, Oleinik is the author of the claim about recognition of the Euromaidan coup. At the end of December of last year the Dorogomilovsky court of Moscow has recognized the events of the February 2014 Ukraine coup.

Recall, the international court of justice in the Hague started hearing the suit of Kiev against Russia. Meetings are held from 6 to 9 March. Ukraine expects the court of justice in the Hague decision, which would satisfy the claims of the country on the introduction of provisional measures against Russia, to bring Russia to justice for committing acts of terrorism and discrimination.

In turn, the Russian side does not see any legal or factual basis for any preventive measures from the International court of justice. Russia denies the legal and factual basis for the implementation of the International court of justice measures, which insisted Ukraine during the first day of hearings in the Hague in the context of a suit against Russia.
