The court in the Hague took over the materials of war crimes of Russia in Ukraine

The Hague court has started studying of materials of war crimes of Russia in Eastern Ukraine. This was announced by Deputy of the Polish Sejm, the report’s co-author Malgorzata Gosiewska on his page in Facebook.

“Thanks to the support of the Polish Embassy in the Hague, on 22 April I met with representatives of the office of the Prosecutor of the International criminal court. The statement of the suspicion of committing a number of crimes under the Rome Statute, as well as the report with the evidence material at 500 pages was accepted with great interest,” she wrote.

The MP added that the materials will be studied from the legal and factual sides, and on this basis the Prosecutor’s office will decide on the beginning of the investigation against the persons referred to in the report.

Report on war crimes of Russia in Ukraine in 2014 was transferred to the international criminal court in the Hague on April 22.

The document entitled “Russian military crimes in Eastern Ukraine in 2014” was created by the Deputy of the party law and Justice with the support of volunteers and activists.

We will remind, the presentation of the report to the members of the EP about the war crimes of Russia in the East of Ukraine, as well as debunking myths that in the Donbas are fighting against the Ukrainians but local separatists, was held on April 5 in the conference in the European Parliament.
