On Wednesday, the Obolon district court of Kiev to interview the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Parubiy. He arrived in court as a witness in case of treason, ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

It is noted that before questioning Parubiy lawyers Yanukovych wanted to join to the case of videos with the participation of the speaker in which he tells of the circumstances of the events on Maidan, in particular, the killings of activists.

The Prosecutor Maxim Crimea noted that in this process, Viktor Yanukovych is accused in the deaths of people on Maidan, so these materials are not relevant to this case.

The court granted the defense motion and proceeded to the interrogation of Parubiya.

At the beginning of the interrogation, the speaker of Parliament has said he never personally had no contact with Viktor Yanukovych. Parubiy also believes that the former President was under the influence of the Russian authorities and the signing of the 2010 Kharkiv agreements marked the beginning of a future aggression of Russia against Ukraine.

Earlier it became known that the President Petro Poroshenko summoned for questioning as a witness in the case of Yanukovych.
