A measure of restraint for the accused in aiding and abetting the separatists facilitated.

The court changed the measure of restraint for ex-the mayor of Slavyansk Nely Shtepy, sending her under house arrest. On Wednesday, September 20, reported the press service of the Prosecutor of the Kharkiv region, reports UNIAN.

“According to the decision of Lenin regional court of Kharkov, has changed the measure of restraint from detention to house arrest – wearing an electronic “bracelet” – said the Prosecutor’s office.

Shtepa should always be at the place of residence in Slavyansk.

The Prosecutor’s office insisted on extending the measure of restraint in custody, as the article on which the accused was the former head of the Slavic does not provide for house arrest.

We will remind, Nelia Shtepa was arrested on July 13, 2014. She is suspected of infringement of territorial integrity of Ukraine and aiding the separatists.

Earlier it became known that Nelya Shtepa sent a statement to the Minister of justice with a request to check in Kharkiv prison. According to the ex-mayor of Slavyansk, on June 24 the officer of the convoy beat her, whereby she had extensive bruising on his hands and on his forehead. However, the prison denied the statement Shtepa about the beating.
