Network JYSK in Ukraine has 40 stores in 20 cities

Ukraine has a huge potential for development in the segment of products for the home, according to the company JYSK.

The Danish chain stores goods for home JYSK plans to open every year in Ukraine, about 12 stores. About it reports Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the Executive Director JYSK in Ukraine Evgenia Ivanica Thursday, August 9.

“We are in Pingdu (September 1-2017/31 Aug-2018) opened five stores and are working on opening in August of two more JYSK stores in Kharkov. On average, we plan to open 12 stores each year. We need probation, 10 years in order to fulfill the market demand of Ukraine”, – he said.

Ivanjica noted that the company has not studied the impact on development output in Ukraine Swedish retailer IKEA, however, the JYSK experience in other countries indicates that the output of European competitor on the market had a negative impact on sales dynamics.

“Yes, we are similar in many ways, our commodity groups overlap, both companies have the philosophy of Scandinavian style. The yield of our competitor, on the contrary, to strengthen the position of both companies in the market, popularizing a whole segment in General,” suggested Ivanjica and added that “Ukraine has a huge potential for development in the segment of products for the home”.

He also noted that the network JYSK in this fingado demonstrated growth in comparative stores by more than 30% by the plan for the planned turnover of 1 billion hryvnia.

Network JYSK began to develop in Ukraine in 2004. As of August 9, 2018, the network is represented by 40 stores in 20 cities, as well as the online store. In the international market network JYSK has more than 2.6 thousand stores in 50 countries, mainly in Europe.

We will remind, in December 2017 Swedish chain of home goods, IKEA has officially announced plans to enter the Ukrainian market. The government of Ukraine intends to create an interagency group to promote Swedish network.

In 2010, IKEA tried to enter the Ukrainian market, however, this did not happen.
