“I think that sanctions will not be lifted, but that the decision of the Senate may be adopted, the probability is. The majority in the Senate – right at the head with Mr. Sarkozy, among which are very much Pro-Russian and those who just get money from Russia… It is the decision of the Senate would not be binding on the government, so there is no such a catastrophe, but we must do everything so that this decision was not, or to change the text. I hope that we will be able to do this in dialogue with our partners,” he said.

According to him, it will be important to talk not only about the Minsk agreement and the Donbas, but also the Crimea.

We will note, in France on 8 June to hold a debate on the resolution on cancellation of sanctions against Russia.
