The first Deputy managing Director, IMF David Lipton knows nothing about the preparation of so-called “Marshall plan” for Ukraine. He declared it in interview to Agency Interfax-Ukraine.

“Never heard anything about this idea, and, if such training did take place, I would know about it”, – he said.

However, he noted that the continuation of reforms will contribute to the inflow of investment.

“The most promising opportunity for Ukraine to attract investment, which in turn will start to create the country’s relations with the European supply chain. These relationships are of German and Scandinavian companies in Poland and other Central European countries,” added Lipton.

We will remind, on March 31 the European people’s party approved a resolution on the development of a “Marshall Plan” for Ukraine. It is expected that the long-term plan to support Ukraine will be represented at the Eastern partnership summit in November.
