The new claim relates to the detention and prosecution of Ukrainians on criminal charges in Russia and in the Crimea.

The European court of human rights registered the next inter-state statement of Ukraine against Russia. On Tuesday, August 28, reported the press service of the Ministry of justice on Twitter.

The case concerns the detention and prosecution of Ukrainian citizens on various criminal charges. In particular, violations of the rights of Ukrainians, who are illegally detained or held in Crimea and Russia.

“We have collected a huge amount of evidence that the Russian authorities violated the norms of the Convention on human rights regarding the prohibition of torture violations of the rights to liberty and security of person, fair trial, freedom of speech, Assembly,” – said in the message of Ministry of justice in Facebook.

Note, August 10, Ukraine has filed a lawsuit with the ECHR against Russia because of violations of the rights of Ukrainian political prisoners.

Currently Ukraine has submitted to the ECtHR four statements against Russia.
