The economy Ministry predicts GDP growth in 2017 at 3.5% and not 4% as was stated earlier, the Deputy Minister Yulia Kovaliv, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

“I want to clarify: 3.5% of our expectation of GDP growth for next year,” she said.

Kovaliv added that the GDP growth is projected due to increased consumption and rising industrial production.

“Growth will be – we have raised since may 1, social standards, and later they will be increased by 10%, abolished the taxation of pensions…in addition, we see the results of three months of industrial production growth to 3.7%, which was not for two years,” she said.

As reported Корреспондент.netpreviously, the IMF said that Ukraine will soon enter into a period of record economic growth, which will be supported by the reduction of economic imbalances and improvement of the geopolitical situation.
