Совет ЕС без обсуждения продлит санкции по Крыму

The EU Council today to extend sanctions on Crimea

Sanctions against Russia in response to annexation of the Peninsula will be extended today for the year.

The EU Council on foreign Affairs today will extend for one year sanctions imposed in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea, reports UKRINFORM.

It is noted that this decision would be taken without discussion by foreign Ministers of member countries of the European Union.

“The Council will prolong the EU restrictive measures in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol for one year – until June 23, 2018”, – stated in the EU Council.

Recall that sanctions against Russia over Crimea include bans on imports into the EU of products from the Peninsula, the investments, and a ban on services related to tourism activities. In addition, it prohibits the export of certain goods and technologies.

As stated recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia has always lived under sanctions. According to him, the Western countries introduced them, when he felt competition.
